This position is responsible for working closely with the Manager and Director of Advertising, as well as Cotton Incorporated’s creative and media agency partners to develop and execute Cotton Incorporated’s advertising outreach to both the consumer and the trade industry. The Assistant Manager is an integral part of the integrated team, responsible for daily account and project management on a multitude of creative and media programs designed to drive awareness and consideration for cotton products. The position will also manage the back-end content management system of www.TheFabricOfOurLives.com, curate cotton-rich apparel and home goods products to ease consumers path to purchase of cotton, and monitor social conversations across several social platforms. This position will liaise with several other key decision makers within the Company to execute trade campaigns focused on reaching the on reaching the agriculture, nonwovens, and textile supply chains.   

Core Functions:
•    Manage daily account functions such as scheduling meetings, organizing calls, updating visitor logs, distributing status reports, writing/distributing agendas and meeting recaps, media monitoring and maintaining all files on server
•    Manage the USDA approvals and reporting process
•    Manage several internal and external communications reports throughout the year, including assisting the Manager and Director in the creation of Mid-Year and Annual Reports
•    Manage creative and media agency program timelines and project budgets (ex: obtaining signatures, routing estimates, reviewing media placement authorization forms)
•    Support the Manager and Director in evaluating, implementing, and monitoring consumer and trade facing media plans (TV/print/digital/social)
•    Provide program support and coordination of consumer facing youth marketing initiatives
•    Assist Manager in developing corporate branding (trade-facing) campaigns (writing creative briefs, managing creative assets) for print, digital and social, as well as coordination of strategic media plans
•    Collaborate with internal teams to find/source research to help support claims that position cotton as a superior fiber
•    Manage The Fabric Of Our Lives website through Cotton’s content management system, including but not limited to cropping/creating images, uploading content, sourcing cotton products from platforms and editing for SEO; assist Manager in placing approved articles and news articles
•    Manage the development of creative assets with creative collaborators to support and promote editorial content (i.e.: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, infographics, ads, web landing pages, Twitter profile)
•    Assist Manager with promoting retail and sustainability programs on TFOL.com and social
•    Monitor multiple social streams and flag notable content or mentions and identify key social community members and influencers (brands, designers, and bloggers) to amplify cotton messaging
•    Manage Cotton’s consumer sweepstakes and promotions including legal and prize fulfillment
•    Stay current on industry and social media news and trends, constantly testing new ideas and platforms
•    Support daily operations of the Advertising department in various projects and assignments
