Overview

CIT is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Human Resources team. The AVP, HR Generalist partners with Executive Management, Senior Leadership, Frontline Managers, Employees, and various internal stakeholders to align CIT's strategic objectives with the daily initiatives of the Business. The role is multi-faceted and requires real-time coordination with multiple teams to respond to unique situations promptly, in a manner consistent with CIT's Policies and Procedures, Core Values, and Code of Business Conduct. The HR Generalist role is routinely focused on multiple workstreams including HR Operations, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Employee Relations, Communications, Client Consultation, and other responsibilities as needed.

  • Partners closely with senior business leadership to ensure consistent practices, procedures, and HR strategies are being executed
  • Partners with senior leadership and HR Specialist groups to evaluate business needs and implements and executes strategies focused on organizational effectiveness, talent management and employee engagement to effectively deliver results and achieve business objectives
  • Maintains employee data on an ongoing basis; prepares, interprets, monitors and analyzes all HR data and metrics (headcount, compensation, new hires, termination, turnover, promotion, year-end comp, talent, performance management, etc.) to deliver accurate reporting to clients
  • Identifies areas of opportunity and develops innovative solutions around process and system enhancements
  • Advises on employee relations issues
  • Plays an integral part in organizational development opportunities; Working with Senior Leadership to facilitate organization redesigns, assess span and layer impact, and communicate changes
  • Partners with Compensation regarding Candidate Offers, Internal Transfers, comp adjustments, retention agreements, benchmarking, and year end compensation process
  • Manages annual performance management process, including reinforcing goal setting & annual review processes and execution of performance review calibrations within client group
  • Consistent coordination between hiring managers and talent acquisition team on job postings, accurately benchmark job level and compensation

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist or related role required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resource Management, or related field
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to express ideas in a confident and articulate manner
  • Highly organized, proactive with ability to effectively multitask
  • Critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly collaborative across various levels and functions
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. Must have working knowledge of Excel formulas, pivot tables, and other analytic tools
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a cross-functional team
