Overview:

As Creative Manager for Macy’s Media Network, you’ll support revenue generation through creative oversight of advertisers’ assets in a broad range of media types. You’ll serve as creative consultant, building strong advertising client and internal relationships to facilitate the quick review of campaign communications, balancing speed with accuracy. You’ll ensure that standards and technical requirements are met while keeping the Macy’s customer experience at the center of all considerations.

You are comfortable working independently with stakeholders at all levels. You’re an engaged listener, providing constructive and positive feedback that converts challenges into elegant solutions quickly. You approach creative work systemically because you know that's required when creating a coherent experience, but you also know when the system needs to expand to remain agile.  Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Essential Functions:

  • Reviews and approves a high volume of vendor-paid creative assets to ensure compliance with creative style guide and technical requirements.
  • Communicates creative requirements and technical specs to advertisers, and consults to provide clarity and guidance as needed.
  • Maintains the Macy’s Media Network creative style guide to ensure alignment with the overall Macy’s brand identity requirements.
  • Seeks to understand advertisers’ campaign objectives and respective brand identities, resolving non-compliant issues quickly through collaboration, iteration and win-win compromise.
  • Manages and monitors the MMN Sharepoint for creative asset exchanges that are intuitive and efficient.
  • Delivers final assets to the ad operations team for campaign setup and provides summary link of assets released for various partners.
  • Oversees a broad spectrum of assets for multiple media types including, but not limited to:
    • On-site display advertising - Banners, Rich Media, Video.
    • Off-site advertising - Social, Programmatic Display/Video.
    • Billing statement inserts (working closely with Credit team).
    • Package inserts (working closely with Media team).
    • HSQ Jumbotron and in-store screens.
    • Email banners.
    • Brand pages.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in creative management within an advertising communications environment.
  • Strong command of all media types.
  • Retail experience preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and improvisational skills.

Physical Demands:

  • This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
  • May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time. 
  • Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds.

Other Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational, planning and prioritization skills; able to manage a large workload with fast turnaround.
  • Proactive, team player who works well independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud & Microsoft Office.

Work Hours:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
