Reporting into our Chief Investment Officer and working closely with our Management Team, the Global Head of Real Estate will be responsible for overseeing our portfolio across multiple continents. S/he will manage Company’s footprint toward profitable growth, working with the world’s leading owners and brokers on deal structuring and portfolio optimization in a post-COVID age. 

The successful candidate will be at the forefront of a market accelerating toward flexibility, and have a hand in reshaping it around customer needs as never before. As such, we are looking for people who are progressive and opportunistic, experienced in management agreements and customer-led transactions that advance the industry toward serviced partnerships and away from long leases.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Company’s real estate portfolio toward profitable growth across markets, with a focus on owner partnerships
  • Oversee underwriting standards and portfolio optimization strategies to rebalance assets and liabilities 
  • Drive management agreements and customer-led deals across the global portfolio 
  • Build and leverage senior relationships across REITs, developers, and private equity firms to spot opportunities emerging out of COVID
  • Lead the team responsible for setting the pace, priorities, and performance standards for Company’s portfolio mix
  • Synthesize data and best practices to update standards for site selection on a global scale, gas pedaling activity based on local conditions
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Tech, Sales, and other cross functional teams to drive efficiency and accountability in deal activity
  • Create and prepare regular reports to review performance with the Management Team

You are a real estate deal person at heart. You’re excited by the industry’s movement toward flexibility and keen to leave your fingerprints on it. You’re comfortable in front of a room and inside an investment model, and are biased to lead teams from the front. You have an eye toward scale and are excited about the opportunity to work at an incredibly fast paced company. You also have the following:

  • 12+ years of experience in real estate deal transactions
  • Breadth of knowledge in end-to-end deal negotiation
  • Experience in revenue-sharing deals and joint ventures
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams to high performance and manage complex negotiations
  • Quick, lateral thinking that allows you to operate in an agile high growth environment
