Part Time Facilities Manager

About the Opportunity Organization:

• 30-year-old nonprofit organization focusing on assisting children and young adults transitioning out of prison and juvenile facilities and assisting them to become independent adults

• Direct Managers are described as extremely bright, humble, will go out of their way for the organization and the staff, open to ideas and change, heavy emphasis on respect.

• Position is part time, 10-15 hours in Harlem office. Interaction with others will be minimal, all COVID policies and procedures are being strictly followed

• Organization has three other locations in Brooklyn, Queens Bronx, it would be a plus if candidate would be open to traveling to these other areas (transportation can be provided if need be)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate activities for moving out of existing space, including but not limited to coordinating disposal of items, purchasing new furniture, and coordinating with vendors for items such as copy machines and kitchen supplies

• Assist with shredding of confidential documents

• Secure movers and assist Architect in coordination of new space

• Ensure COVID and safety protocols and safety protocols are built in and incorporated in new space

Experience Preferred:

• 3+ years of facilities or operations management experience

• Extremely collaborative and communicative, willing to help others
