Job Description
A private residence in Soho, NY seeks an experienced full-time Private Chef to prepare meals for the family and guests. The ideal candidate will have excellent longevity in previous positions and will be seasoned in creating a variety of cuisines. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Creating healthy, fresh meals for family; organic & seasonal
  • Weekly menu planning, events planning, and execution; includes guest events, family dinners, etc. 
  • Working collaboratively with the Manager to assure the culinary program for the family
  • Preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Procuring all kitchen supplies, including groceries and any other items as needed, maintaining detailed inventory lists
  • Sanitation and organization of the kitchen (refrigerator, pantries, drawers, etc.), including post-event clean up
  • Formal dining table setting and white-glove service
  • Coordinating with additional household staff to meet the principal's needs
  • Managing vendors and contractors
  • Responding to special requests, errands, and related duties as needed 
Schedule: Typical schedule Sunday- Thursday (must be flexible to changes)
Travel: Must be flexible to travel to other residences when needed by principles
Compensation: Salary is generous but depends on experience

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience working as Private Chef 
  • Degree from an accredited College / University / Culinary School
  • Excellent references from both current and previous employers 
  • Superb command of the English language, both written and oral
  • Energetic, creative, and versatile
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Professional, polish,ed and poised
  • Experience working in Fine-Dining, Michelin-Star, or other equivalent environments
  • Comfortable working in an environment with Children and Pets
  • Utmost sense of discretion and professionalism 
  • Flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Flexibility to travel with the principals on occasion
  • Valid driver’s license is a plus
  • Valid US work authorization
