Assist the Production, Engineering and Purchasing Departments to determine the equipment, systems, procedures and personnel required to ensure that manufacturing/production needs and schedules can be satisfied.
Assist with production scheduling to ensure that the Company is able to comply with all delivery commitments to its customers.
Assist the applicable personnel with the implementation of accurate manufacturing time studies that are necessary to the development of realistic production scheduling and equipment manufacturing costs.
In conjunction with all applicable departmental supervisors/managers, assist in defining personnel requirements to fully support all of the Company's production needs. Provide assistance to the applicable managers/supervisors in correcting deficiencies to achieve the desired end result.
In conjunction with the applicable Mechanical, Electrical and Production Personnel, assist in eliminating labor-intensive equipment designs and manufacturing procedures as a means of generating improvements/reductions in the Company's costs of production.
Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive quality assurance program for all aspects of our manufacturing operations.
Assist in evaluating outside sourcing for any item presently being produced in-house when such an item can be procured at lower cost and with equal or better quality, particularly when outside sourcing enables the Company to reduce manufacturing overhead and/or Client.
Ensure that maximum inter-departmental cooperation is obtained at all times, especially as needed to enable the Company to comply with all of its manufacturing commitments. Conduct 'regular meetings' with applicable plant personnel to assure continuity of effort and responsiveness to Company/customer needs.
In conjunction with the applicable manager/supervisor, ensure that appropriate job descriptions exist for all plant personnel.
Position requires a highly qualified professional with direct experience working in a manufacturing and/or production operations capacity in a machinery manufacturing facility. An Associate's Degree in either Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and a minimum of eight years relevant experience is required.
The individual must exhibit a high energy level, strong work ethic, and excellent interpersonal and communications skills, as well as a proven track record for organizing manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment.
