The Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the creation, development, and review of power distribution systems and equipment layouts for highway, airport, tunnel, bridge, and building infrastructure projects.  The Electrical Engineering Manager is also responsible for technical and project management staff development; meeting administration; and client and design team coordination. You will leverage your engineering knowledge and skills to assist with the preparation of engineering plans, power distribution calculations, lighting design (illuminance) calculations, technical specifications, and construction estimates and schedules. You will be supported by a successful management team and team of designers to advance your technical and management skills. Technical Experience required:

  • National Electrical Code (NEC)

  • Indoor and outdoor power distribution design

  • Medium Voltage Substations, Utility Service and Metering

  • Electrical Calculations

  • Protective Relaying, Key Interlocking, and Grounding

  • Building Automation Management and Control systems (BAMCS) and SCADA

  • Lighting Control and Monitoring

  • Highway and Intersection Lighting Design

  • Fire Alarm Systems Design

  • Design Reviews

  • Project Scoping

  • Conceptual Design Development

  • Field Inspections

  • Utility Coordination

  • Contract Drawings, Technical Specifications, and Cost Estimates


  • 8 years of related experience with P.E. License required (NJ and NY preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Project experience with the following clientele NJDOT, NJTA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, and Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Software Experience with SKM, EasyPower, Visual, AutoCAD, Microstation
