Individually and as leader of her team: Contributes in close cooperation with Global Key Account Management (GKAM) to the development of strategic client partnerships for High priority Pharma & Healthcare via win-win joint value creation initiatives.

Your Role

Approach in a Client centric, value driven, cross-Business Unit way
Design and position solutions, optimizing supply chain performance and costs
Focus on enabling client’s operational cost reduction, administrative workload reduction, inventory reduction, revenue improvement
Leverages the global portfolio of Kuehne + Nagel solutions, across Business Units Air, Sea, Overland, Integrated Logistics, Contract Logistics
Contribute to Pharma & Healthcare specific innovation with Industry Champions and Business Units

Your Responsibilities

  • Proactive Qualification of opportunities
    in conjunction with Global Head of Supply Chan Design Pharma &
    Healthcare, Global Key Account Managers and Industry Champions. Support
    go/no go process
  • Is the overall responsible of the
    creation of a KN value proposition manging virtual, international teams with different disciplines (Business
    Units’ Operations, Key Accounting, Engineering, IT / IS, Centre of
    excellence etc.)
  • Client engagement, introduction of
    Solutions Consulting methodology and obtaining buy in to proceed
  • Delivers a compelling business case in
    terms of cost vs. return, risk and implementation timeframe, formalising
    client’s strategic positioning, business model, operational model, AS-IS
    and TO-BE scenarios and enablers.
  • Prepare, organize and run Internal and
    Client White Board Sessions, aimed at understanding Client’s supply chain
    strategies, needs and challenges as well as their future supply chain
  • Engage the relevant Business Units for
    the creation of the detailed proposal and pricing
  • Discuss the value proposition with
    client, in conjunction with Global Key Account Managers and Business Unit,
    until final customer decision is received.
  • Transition solutions projects to the appointed KN implementation lead
  • Proactively coach the Pharma Key
    Account Team to more consultative and longer term approach
  • Liaise with Industry Champions for
    creating and/or formalizing industry specific solution packages
  • Use and continuous improve the tools
    and the methodology of Supply Chain Design
  • Create and maintain business cases
    with particular focus on developing external ones
  • Contribute to formalizing innovation
    as result of delivered projects.
  • Is actively
    involved in RFQ processes which require strategic solutions elements and
    innovative proposals.

Your Skills and Experiences

Knowledge, Skills:

  • Forwarding and 4PL operational
    knowledge from Logistics Service 
    Provider, Manufacturing or Consulting companies
    GxP related Supply Chain management
  • Strategic Supply Chain Management
  • At least 10 years consistent exposure
    on strategic SCM transformation projects
  • Business Administrations basics
    including basic financial knowledge
  • Process mapping and re-engineering
    (Six sigma, SCOR®  or alike
  • Supply Chain Management systems /
    Information Systems knowledge
  • Perfect English skills
  • Local market know – how


  • Bachelors/First University Degree in Economic, SCM or Engineering (minimum)
  • Masters/Second University Degree in Economics, SCM or Engineering (highly preferred)
  • MBA or equivalent (preferred)
