ICG Limit & Exposure Monitoring (LEM) team, part of ICG Risk has a mandate to effectively monitor and manage credit exposures to ICG clients. A number of remediation initiatives to address identified gaps, process enhancements are in flight. Single Counterparty Credit Limit (SCCL) rule compliance is one such critical initiative. The Program Management Lead will drive the remediation efforts to ensure Company’s compliance with SCCL rule requirements

Responsibilities:

Understand SCCL rule requirements and Company’s existing SCCL infrastructure and monitoring processes

  • Review, understand and develop action plans for SCCL enhancements required. The recommended enhancements are already identified as an outcome of an independent review
  • Partner with the Wholesale Credit risk remediation(WCR) teams to ensure that the SCCL enhancements are tracked and highlighted to senior management
  • Take ownership of the quarterly FR2590 report submission of Top 50 counterparties for SCCL exposure. This would include a detailed data quality review of quarterly data, identify appropriate adjustments, preparation of senior management material and sign-off for regulatory submission
  • Provide monthly updates to SCCL governance forum on program enhancements, progress made and summary of outstanding issues
  • Act as single point of contact (SPOC) for establishing and operating playbook on escalation and reporting of SCCL limit breaches. This will include escalation of limit breaches(internal and external thresholds) and working with relevant stakeholders in Banking, Risk, Markets and other functions for resolution of the limit breach
  • Act as point of contact for Audit and regulatory exams for SCCL related queries and discussions
  • Work closely with stakeholders in ICG Risk, QRS, Risk & Basel technology teams to develop a project plan with timelines for implementation of the enhancements
  • Identify required technology enhancements and resources required to complete the enhancements in a time bound manner
  • Understand risk aggregation and reporting principles used for Basel reporting and internal risk management reporting. Develop framework to compare SCCL exposure with internal risk management exposure data and explain the variances and root causes
  • Develop and rollout training material for first line and second line staff in Company to create awareness and understanding of SCCL requirements

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in program/project management of risk management initiatives and good understanding of wholesale credit risk, various risk measures( PSE, Settlement, Notional) and application in the risk management framework
  • Experience in development and roll-out of regulatory submission reports with required data quality controls
  • Consulting experience or experience working in US regulatory bodies for specific named report filing(Ex. Y14, FR 2590) will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to setup governance structure, develop detailed project plans and track them to completion
  • Credit risk analysis and approval background is plus but not mandatory
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication;  Proven presentation skills to senior management
  •  Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with urgency

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
