Our client is seeking a Technology Director to join their team in NYC (zip code 10001).
Provide a deep and broad understanding of one of the financial verticals (Retail Banking, Wealth/Asset Management, Insurance). Analyze existing application portfolios, develop next-gen application architecture, transformation, and modernization roadmap. Design and implement financial services enterprise solutions using AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud. Participate in the full cycle of pre-sale activities, including RFP processing, proposal development and direct communications with potential clients. Have strong customer facing, C-level stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
Collaborate with account managers, account delivery and other account roles to develop budgets and timelines for solutions.
This person should be a T-shaped technologist, who has deep understanding of the one of the technology domains such as Data, APIs etc. and broad understanding of other technology domains. Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications. Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
Lead implementation of the solution from establishing project requirements and goals to solution "go-live". Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping, and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production. Act as liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks. Drive common vision, practices, and capabilities across teams. Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions. Engage with Technical Architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs. Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change. Assess and evaluate risk as required.
Mentor, educate, and train colleagues as requested as well as maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
