The COMPANY Vice President, Direct to Scale – Digital and Automation will play a critical role within our fast-paced advertising sales team, with a focus on driving digital revenue for the full COMPANY portfolio through growth in the fast-growing Direct to Consumer category. This person will be responsible for leading the linear automation strategy to ease day to day friction of transacting with performance brands. This role will report directly into to the SVP, Direct to Scale and Commerce Partnerships and will lead a team cultivating demand and managing relationships with clients, media agencies and technology partners. This role requires collaborating with key stakeholders across the COMPANY organization in order to meet revenue goals.  Expertise within the DTC, advanced data targets, automation and the ability to operate effectively at the cross-section of traditional and digital media are critical to achieving success in this role. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead a team driving digital advertising sales of the COMPANY platform for specific target clients and agencies within the direct-to-consumer category, developing new TV, digital, Global, AdSmart and partner revenue opportunities that clearly prove new value for clients
  • Develop and implement day-to-day digital sales strategy for performance brands; develop target lists, lead agency outreach and be in market often with full COMPANY portfolio opportunities
  • Understand customer needs and provide feedback and market input that will strengthen our COMPANY opportunities and value proposition
  • Field proactive requests; collect, manage and route RFP requests to key stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met
  • Track revenue of the COMPANY-DTC category sales and establish a regular cadence for reporting on progress
  • Partner with internal teams (Digital and TV sales leads,  Network Partnerships, Programming, Legal, Research, etc.) to develop proactive packages and drive creativity throughout the sales process
  • Develop strong relationships throughout COMPANY to ensure a unified and coordinated strategy is presented in the market


The Person

• 12+ years of relevant direct selling experience in advertising sales, specifically within a digital and data driven environment
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited and recognized institution of higher learning required
• MBA preferred
• Previous experience and success in working for multi-media sales organization
• Ability to lead an organization into a new age of automation within a linear television environment
• Proven experience leading change as well as new teams to drive revenue within established organizations
• KPI driven; Significant experience leading a data driven sales approach and having transacted the sales cycle through advanced campaign measurement and attribution
• Proven experience in prospecting new clients, generating sales leads and closing the sale
• Deep understanding of programmatic buying and selling
• Must be self-motivated, driven and able to work independently as well as part of a strong team environment
• Advanced client-facing skills; Ability to clearly articulate value positions and experience presenting integrated marketing programs to clients/leading brainstorms
• Ability to synthesize ideas from group discussions and articulate them verbally/in writing
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully operate within a large organization, effectively communicating with executives, interdepartmental teams and external clients
• Analytical and strategic thinker, creative problem solver, resourceful, adaptable, able to motivate innovation and creativity
